Hello Fish: a delightful rhyming book about fish and fishing for kids (Active Outdoor Kids 1)

Hello Fish is a children’s fishing book that introduces kids to several of the more common freshwater fish in North America. It’s a kid’s fishing book written for little one’s between 1-5. The large colorful pictures and short segments of text are meant to make it easy for a child to follow along as you read to them with out the child loosing their attention. Hopefully after reading this book to your child several times, they’ll be able to point to each fish and call them by name as you turn each page.

The book was written by Dr. Pete Gelesko. From Dr. Pete “As a father with a love and passion for the outdoors I wanted to create a series of children’s books that would help introduce kids to the wonders of the outdoors and to help encourage kids to to spend less time on the couch and spend more time playing outdoors.”

Hello Fish is the first book in the Active Outdoor Kids series. Its a simple, delightful children’s rhyming book about fish with colorful illustrations highlighting several freshwater fish species.

Hello Fish is a great way to start introducing children to fishing and to help kids develop a love and passion for the outdoors at a very early age.

There is also a facebook page that Dr. Pete has started to accompany the book series call Active Outdoor Kids. You can find it on facebook at Whether you decide to purchase the book or not, anyone who is interested in spending time in the outdoors is welcome!
